Following the attack on our country on September 11, 2001, the U.S. established the Department of Homeland Security. It brought together “22 different federal departments and agencies into a unified, integrated Department.” This department exists to ensure “a safer, more secure America, which is resilient against terrorism and other potential threats.” This week we are beginning a new series that borrows from this idea. God instituted the family as the primary means by which the world would know his grace and care. Yet there was a devastating attack in the garden that changed things. Our goal over the next six weeks is to answer the call to engage and begin to rebuild the foundations that have been ruined. I hope that you plan to join us as we embark on this journey of hope and healing. There is something for everyone! I look forward to our time together.
