Distractions—they come in every shape and form. Our society is continually offering all manner of distractions for our time, energy, and money. Consider for just a moment Times Square in Manhattan. Flashing lights, the latest music, the latest fashion, the newest shows—all competing for our attention. It is almost more than a person can endure to look at. We find ourselves so often unable to focus on those things that matter. As we come to The Story, we will find encouragement and challenge to stay focused. We are called to pursue the glory of God. As His people we are called to represent Him well— to be a living message of the goodness and grace of God in this generation. Yet in the midst of distractions and even outright opposition, how do we stay focused? What will align our priorities with His heart and keep us on track? Join me this week as we find out God’s prescription for distraction and opposition. I am looking forward to our time together.
