The Chinese General Sun Tzu is credited as saying “Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster.” As we began our study on spiritual warfare last week Paul pointed us to the fact that we are in a war with an enemy that is more powerful and crafty than we can imagine. However, we have not been thrust into this battle without the necessary intelligence reports. God’s Word sheds light on this enemy and the tactics he uses. Our goal this week will be to familiarize ourselves with the tactics of our enemy so that when we find our- selves in a spiritual battle we will not be “ignorant of his schemes (2Corinthians 2:11).” I look forward to our time together. Remember that we will also be celebrating Communion. Stand Firm!
