A NOTE FROM OUR PASTOR
I am excited this week to come to the New Testament. After 400 years of silence God again speaks, though not quite like one would expect. Our focus on The Story this week may challenge your ideas of what Christmas is all about. Yet it is my prayer that as we examine God’s word, we would gain a greater sense of joy and assurance of God’s love and desire for us. “So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.” John 1:14, NLT. Why does God identify Jesus as “the Word”? What does it mean that “The Word was with God and the Word was God”? What should our response be to this amazing truth? These are the questions we will seek to answer as we gather this week.
