Our culture is in a crisis. Not to make light of the economic struggles of our current climate, but the problem goes much deeper than our bank accounts. It is a crisis that affects the church and our families. We are in a cri- sis today over understanding true manhood and womanhood. The Newsweek cover from September 27, 2010, was entitled Man Up!, with the subscript, “It’s time to rethink masculinity.” In some ways this is true. Yet having our culture define this apart from God’s revealed purpose will continue to produce the same results. Over these next two weeks we will look to God’s word to clarify the roles and responsibilities of man and woman. We will also lay out some steps we believe will help rebuild the foundations of our families as we seek to fulfill the stewardship God has given to each of us. I look forward to sharing God’s word together.
