This Sunday is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Even though we live in relative comfort and safety, many followers of Christ around the world live under the threat of great persecution. The Voice of the Martyrs sets aside a Sunday in November to spotlight the struggle of our brothers and sisters. Paul reminds us, “If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” 1 Corinthians 12:26 ESV. I hope that you will join us this week as we take time to pray for the persecuted Church and then begin a short series on Growing a Hunger for God. I look forward to our time together.
