There are many things that seek to distract us from living out the truth of the gospel. We are bombarded daily with images and messages that are intended to create desire and discontentment. Yet there are commands that naturally flow from our privileged position in Christ. If we are to live as exiles here and now, we must prepare for the road ahead. Over the next few weeks we will explore the list of commands Peter gives us because of this grace given. So, as we gather this week we will ask: How do we prepare, and what is at stake? Don’t forget that this Sunday is Mother’s Day!
