Last week we began taking a look at this topic of prayer. As followers of Christ we know that prayer is a necessity. We even claim it to be our priority. Yet sadly, it really becomes something to which we too often give lip service. We began our study by attempting to define prayer, as well as recognizing some of our problem with the subject. As we gather this week, I have been impressed with God’s intention for us in prayer. We are going to pick up that question of “Why pray?” I believe that if we begin to understand God’s purpose for us in prayer, then it will overflow in how, why, and for what we pray. I look forward to gathering together again this Sunday.
