Do you remember how as a child you could not wait for Christmas Day to come? There was such anticipation and hope. I remember going through the toy catalogs and marking all those things that drew my attention and desire. There was the hope every year that I would get all the things that I wanted. But many times those hopes were disappointed. And every time our hopes and dreams are disappointed we stuff them in the closet of our heart along with all the other disappointments. This week we are going to simplify Christmas and see that it is also about hope. You will want to join us as we examine some of the reasons for our hopelessness, and we will see how God invades our world to set our hope right. I look forward to seeing you all.
