A Note from our Pastor

This week we will begin a new summer series during our times together. In these recent days with the debate surrounding homosexual marriage, the Republican, Democrat, or Tea Party debate, and the “haves” versus the “have nots”, there seems to be an unanswered question. Who are you? What is your identity? How does that identity affect or influence the course of your family, your job, financial status, or our country? This lack of understanding who we are is no less a struggle within the church. We too often identify ourselves by what we have done, where we have gone, what denomination we are affiliated with, or by the things in which we don’t participate. We will embark on a survey journey through the book of Ephesians specifically with a view to wrapping our minds around our identity in Christ. Paul spends a lot of time explaining our identity or position in Christ. He then ties it to our practice. Our hope this summer is to come to grips with our identity and then to walk in a manner worthy of the calling. I hope that you will join us this week, but also throughout the summer.
Blessings on you!
Pastor Dave
