We have the opportunity this week to start our journey through The Story of God. I am excited to share this experience with you and see God do amazing things in our midst. We start this week at the beginning. Our society today seeks to do anything they can to remove God from the picture. Yet we are confronted with 5 important words: In the beginning God created. These words are loaded with meaning for us. They draw our attention back to the beginning of time. And it is there that we find God existing before the beginning and creating out of nothing all that exists. Creation displays His glory and greatness, yet it also displays His care. He fashioned us from the ground and gave us life. His desire was and is to have a close relationship with mankind. We were created in His image and likeness, but all sinned in Adam, and now that image is marred. The Story focuses on God’s glory displayed in and through us as He does what is necessary to restore us to Himself. He loves us and continues to seek us even when we have no thought of Him. Join us this week as we experience Creation, the Fall, and the Flood together.
