Peace. The very word brings to mind a silent night with snow falling softly to the ground. We long for that tranquil setting to bring rest to our weary souls. Yet, it seems that our Christmas season lacks all manner of peace. With the hustle and bustle of the season, we find ourselves trying to find a moment’s peace as we run from one activity to another. We also find that our times with family and friends look more like a UFC battle royale than that picture of tranquility. As we gather this week we will hear Micah’s promise to Israel of a Ruler who will be their peace. What did he mean by this statement? What implications does this have for our lives today? Hope to see you all as we experience together God’s promise of better days.
