Our culture loves to minimize pain. If it hurts, there are any number of medications that can be prescribed to take care of the problem. If you have a headache, take a Tylenol. If you have a muscle ache, an ibuprofen will take care of the problem. The more pain we have, the more powerful the medication prescribed. Pain, though, is intended to get our attention. Something doesn’t hurt unless there is a problem. If we break a bone, there should be pain associated with that to let us know, help! Something is wrong here!! The same is true of trials in our lives. As we face life as an alien we will experience trials that test and refine. The ques- tion that we face this week pertains to how we will know it is worth enduring. What is the key that will see us through these trials? What should that produce in our lives as a result? Join us this week as we continue our study of 1 Peter.
Confident in His strength, Pastor Dave
