FINISHED! What an amazing statement.
This statement was a cry of victory that is intended to produce confidence in our God and to encourage us to boldly proclaim the good news of the gospel. But what else are we to understand from this word? I believe that we are intended to see we are not good enough and that our obedience is complete in Christ. This week we will explore the connection between justification and the cross. What did it mean for Christ to be “made sin for us in order that we might become the righteousness of God in him”? Then also, what are the implications of this truth to our obedience? I hope that you set aside the time to join us again this week as we explore what Jesus meant by this statement.
Looking forward to worshiping together,
Pastor Dave
