Every day we are confronted with a world view that promotes and encourages sin. This November our state will vote on a marriage amendment because our society wants to re- define marriage in this country. It seems that wickedness wins the day. We question with Habakkuk, “You who are of purer eyes than to see evil and cannot look at wrong, why do you idly look at traitors and remain silent when the wicked swallows up the man more righteous than he?” Habakkuk 1:13 ESV. This week we will see that God will take care of sin. We will look at the seat of sin, a city which personifies rebellion since its inception. We will seek to answer the questions of the significance of Babylon in history and the future, as well as how God will bring retribution on that city. And we will be challenged to connect these truths with our lives today. I look forward to our time together.
