What a great God we serve! I hope that our study over the last month and a half has been an encouragement to you. I also pray these truths would lay a solid foundation from which we will serve the Lord with joy and gladness. God truly has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. He has saved us by his grace. We have nothing to boast about. One of the struggles that arises from our identity crisis is that we feel inadequate and invaluable. How could God possibly use me? We make excuses like Moses: “I can’t speak.” Yet God in his grace has redeemed us and reconciled us. He is sanctifying us daily as we encounter his word. But he has also given each true believer at least one gift so that we can accomplish his purpose. This week we will explore the purpose of these gifts and why it is important for each of us to exercise those gifts within the body. I hope to see you. Don’t forget that we have the privilege of baptizing one young man following the morning service.
For the glory of his name,
Pastor Dave
