and (pray) also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, (Ephesians 6:19 ESV)
Gracious and merciful Father, we come before you today to lift up those you have given the responsibility to lead in this congregation. We thank you for their willingness to take on the mantle of leadership and their desire for your glory. Father, we ask that you would protect their hearts and minds in Christ. May you grow them daily in their understanding of your grace and mercy. Would you find pleasure in molding their hearts and lives more into the image of your Son. Would they surrender control of their passions and pursuits to the leading of your Spirit. Protect their families from the attacks of the evil one. Would your grace and love fill them as they relate to their families, co-workers and community. Would you continue to lead and direct their hearts and clarify your vision for your church, and the ministries they lead. And would they be good and gracious stewards of all that you have given.
For the glory of Your Name …
