I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13 NLT)
Gracious Father, You are our source of hope. Your gracious love and mercy moved you to pursue us in our rebellion. In the midst of the darkness You sought us out, and it is you who rescue. You were pleased to crush Jesus on the Cross for it was there that the decrees against us were paid in full and nailed to the cross. So now we ask that you would fill us completely with joy and peace. Would our confident hope display your glory. Would your Spirit work in power through our joy, our hope, our trust in You. Be pleased Oh God to use us to proclaim the message of hope faithfully until one day soon our faith is made sight. And in that moment would we hear “well done.”
