Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. (2 Corinthians 3:5-6 ESV)
We are thankful to you oh God for your steadfast love and patience. Every day our inadequacy is ever before us. We know that our lives too often are disconnected from the truth of your word. Yet in your grace and mercy you have made us sufficient through our death, burial and resurrection with Christ. May we seek to display your glory, and share the good news, not in our own strength, but in the power of Your Spirit. Would you grant us favor with those around us. Oh that they would see our good deeds and glorify Your Name. Would you cause those in our community to thirst for living water. May they not be satisfied anymore with the work of their hands. May you grant that we with boldness would exalt Your great Salvation. And would your Spirit move on the hearts and minds of those around us.
To Your glory and majesty …
